NL // Ze lopen, ze praten, ze kruipen en nemen elkaar mee in de absurditeit. Ze kunnen niet stoppen met lachen. Ze verlangen naar iets om vast te pakken. Ze zitten vast, dus ze maken zichzelf on-vast. Het is zo brutaal, maar ook zo delicaat. Alles en niks, allemaal tegelijk.
ENG // They walk, they talk, they crawl and carry each other into absurdity. They can’t stop laughing. They long for something to grasp. They find themselves stuck, so they un-stuck. It’s so brutal yet so very delicate. Everything and nothing, all at once.

NL // Rodrigo Loureiro is een Portugese danser en jonge maker. Momenteel studeert hij aan ArtEZ, waar hij in 2024 als danser zal afstuderen. Hij focust op zowel het maken van eigen werk als samenwerken met collega’s, waar hij menselijke contexten en alledaagse vraagstukken bediscussieert.
Elin Hallqvist, uit Zweden, studeert ook aan ArtEZ, als danser. Ze verkent in haar werk de rauwheid van het fysieke, vaak op een humoristische manier. Een favoriete quote van haar is “it’s really important but it doesn’t matter”. Ze ziet haar werk als een serieus spel, waar brutaliteit en kwetsbaarheid samenkomen en het absurde naar buiten komt, door het discomfort op te zoeken.
ENG // Rodrigo Loureiro is a Portuguese dancer and young maker. He’s currently studying at ArtEZ University of the Arts, set to graduate in 2024 with a Dance Artist bachelor degree. He’s been focused on creating his own work as well as collaborating with colleagues, where he talks about human contexts and everyday questions.
Elin Hallqvist, from Sweden, is currently studying for the Dance Artist Bachelor at ArtEZ, Arnhem. In her work, she explores the rawness of physicality, often in a humorous way. An expression she enjoys is ”it’s really important but it doesn’t matter”. She sees her work as a serious play where brutality meets vulnerability and the absurd is evoked by going for the uncomfortable.
