Volunteers

All editions of the Café Theater Festival are organized by a team of professionals. During the festivals, our team is supported by enthusiastic volunteers.  To make all upcoming editions a success, we are always looking for such volunteers.

In 2024, the CTF is coming to Utrecht (February 29-March 3), Arnhem (March 15-16) and Rotterdam (March 22-23)

Are you unsure with which role suits you best, or do you have another idea to strengthen our team? Send us an email to vrijwilligers@cafetheaterfestival.nl. You can contact us all year round, no need to wait until a volunteer open call for a particular edition starts.

Location Manager

As a location manager, you are the host of one of the locations and the face of our festival at said location.

You are the link between the hospitality establishment, the artist, the visitor and the organisation and the CTF relies on you to ensure that the festival runs smoothly. As a spider in the web, you ensure that communication between the parties on location runs smoothly.  You are present in your location on all festival days.

Production Assistant

As a production assistant you put out fires where needed. You’re a lifesaver and jack of all trades. You support the team during the festival by, among other things, taking care of the decorations at the locations and counting the votes and donations at the office, but you’re also available for all kinds of emergencies. During the festival you will visit all kinds of locations and will get a lot of  behind-the-scenes experience, meaning you’ll get a look at the all different sides of the festival.

Photographer

Pics or it didn’t happen! As a photographer you immortalize the entire festival. You are invaluable not only to the festival, but also to the performing artists, as you will be capturing their performance. You hop from performance to performance, work in a dynamic environment and are given space to select and edit your photos. Photos are uploaded – under a creative common license – and shared online with mention of your name. Experience is desirable, but there is certainly opportunity for further development.
