Accessibility

The CTF aims to be accessible to everyone as a festival. However, the architecture of cafes is not always inviting for someone with a disability. This can vary significantly from cafe to cafe. If you see the symbol ‘wheelchair accessible’ in the program (here on the website or on the pocketmap), it means that the cafe not only has spacious entrances and enough space to accommodate a wheelchair but also has an accessible toilet. If you don’t see this symbol for a performance, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the space is entirely inaccessible. It just indicates that not all elements are present to facilitate a visit with a wheelchair.

Do you have a disability that makes you unsure if the CTF is accessible for you? Please email programmering@cafetheaterfestival.nl, and we will assist you in identifying cafes and performances that are accessible in your situation. This could involve physical limitations, but we can also provide advice on which cafe to visit if you’re not comfortable with the festival’s crowded atmosphere.

Make sure to also check out our quiet route, the Rustige Route.
