NL // Mijn vader, een man met principes. Verloren in zijn idealen, gevangen in zijn pijn. Een leed dat ik als dochter nooit volledig kan begrijpen, maar dat wel erg aanwezig is in mijn leven. Als dochter van mijn vader, als dochter van iemand die onder gedwongen omstandigheden zijn land heeft moeten verlaten, draag ik zijn verhalen en verdriet met mij mee.
De kleine ruimte laat ons dicht op elkaar staan, geen mogelijkheid om te ontsnappen aan wat er wordt gedeeld. Dicht op de huid kan je niet anders dan luisteren en kijken naar wat er op je afkomt.
ENG // My father, a man of principles. Lost in his ideals, captured in his pain. A suffering that as his daughter I can never fully understand, but which is very present in my life. As the daughter of my father, as the daughter of someone who had to leave his country under forced conditions. I carry his stories and hardship with me.
The small space brings us close together, reducing the possibility of escaping of what is being shared. Close to the surface, and you can’t help but listen and watch what is coming your way.

NL // Yordana Rodríguez, 36 jaar is geboren in een huishouden met een Nederlandse moeder, Chileense vader en één oudere zus. Yordana vond haar passie in de dansstijl popping, zij testte en verbeterde haar vaardigheden via dans battles. Zij heeft bij verschillende dansgezelschappen gedanst, o.a; ISH, AYA en Don’t Hit Mama. Ze is onderdeel van Illusionary Rockaz Company en het collectief Native Moons. Daarnaast is zij coördinator en ontwikkelt zij het curriculum rond straat- en clubdansstijlen binnen Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.

ENG // Yordana Rodríguez, 36 years of age, born into a household with a Dutch mother, Chilean father and one older sister. Yordana found her passion in a dance style named popping, in which she tested and improved her skills through dance battles. She has danced with various dance companies, such as ISH, AYA and Don’t Hit Mama. She is part of the Illusionary Rockaz Company and a collective known as Native Moons. She furthermore is a coordinator and develops the curriculum related to street- and club dance styles at Fontys School of the Arts.
