NL // Bâž is ontstaan in de theaterwereld van Teheran, Iran als een interdisciplinair audiovisueel project. Safa Kamdideh en Ali Kalantari besloten na jaren van optreden en samenwerken met grote theatergezelschappen, om hun artistieke carrière in Europa voort te zetten. Safa is een Utrechtse performer en tarotlezer en Ali doet een PhD in Audio Communication op de TU Berlijn. In hun artistieke doelen, streven ze naar de complexiteit van gender, identiteit en authenticiteit als immigrant in Europa.
ENG // Bâž originated in the theater scene of Tehran, Iran as an interdisciplinary audio-visual project. Creators Safa Kamdideh and Ali Kalantary, after years of performing and collaborating with major theater companies, decided to pursue their artistic careers in Europe. Safa is an Utrecht-based performer and tarot reader and Ali is obtaining a PhD in Audio Communication at TU Berlin. In their artistic endeavors they address the complexities of gender, identity and authenticity as immigrants in Europe.
