NL // Claudia en Ishtar startten hun samenwerking in het Batavierhuis in Rotterdam. Om hun werk te ontwikkelen, hebben ze veel gereisd. In Rootless ontdekken ze wat er gebeurt met wortels wanneer ze worden weggenomen om het leven te ontdekken. Met je eigen richtlijnen, weg van je eigen persoonlijke realiteit en vastheid. Verliezen we onze stabiele basis of ontwikkelen we onze wortels wanneer we ons verplaatsen?
ENG // Claudia and Ishtar started collaborating in Batavierhuis Rotterdam. In order to develop their art, they moved around a lot. In Rootless they investigate what happens to roots when taking off for a journey to explore life, with one’s own guidelines, away from one’s own personal established reality. Do we lose our basis of stability or do we actually expand our roots while constantly moving?
