Trompe l’Oeil is een beeldende voorstelling over het café van de stamgast: een aantrekkelijke mirage of juist keiharde realiteit?

NL // Gina Beuk en Semna Segal kennen elkaar uit Amsterdam en hebben vervolgens samen gestudeerd aan de toneelschool in Gent. Daar vonden ze elkaar in hun voorliefde voor fysiek spel en beeldend theater. Op Theaterfestival De Parade hebben ze in 2022 hun debuutvoorstelling De Dwarsliggers gemaakt en gespeeld. Hun werk kenmerkt zich door iets dat zij concreet absurdisme noemen. Ze spelen graag met de al bekende verwachtingen die een locatie met zich meebrengt, om deze vervolgens om te buigen. Ze interesseren zich dan ook erg voor locatietheater.
ENG // Gina Beuk and Semna Segal know each other from Amsterdam and subsequently studied together at the theater school in Ghent. There they found each other in their love for physical acting and visual theater. At Theaterfestival De Parade in 2022, they created and performed their debut performance De Dwarsliggers. Their work is characterized by something they call concrete absurdism. They like to play with the already known expectations that a location brings with it, and then turn them around. They are therefore very interested in location-based theater.
